Vivid 2015

 

I am, will always be, a fan of the arts. It's amazing just what people can do with anything and turn it into something. Although there was disappointment that there weren't as many instalments as last year, it was still quite beautiful. Perhaps next year it will be better.

Coffee + Good Company

Sometimes that's all you need, some coffee and good company to add just a little more to your day. Ever since I've gotten my license, I have been on more Starbucks runs within two weeks compared to how I would go at least once/twice a month. No ragrets though, I love my coffee! Especially when I don't pay for it, haha.

This was only my second time getting a 'venti' which is the largest size at Starbucks and boy that was a mission to finish but so worth it because along with it came a good bundle of laughs, random topic based conversations and jamming to a playlist that wasn't suited for a 'coffeehouse.' It's these very opportunities that I love because it consists to being chill, staying warm (since it's still cold as f ...ish), staying away from technology to enjoy the presence of those you're with and it engenders talks that will either leave you in laughter or in a pondering state. 

Coffee isn't for everyone but if you can find a place that you can just chill out with some good company, you're set! I enjoy coffeehouses/cafes, the park or river and mountains, how about you?

One month away from spring

Oh joy! We are one month away from spring and I'm already saying goodbye to winter. Although the oversized jumpers, knits, scarves, beanies and hot drinks are lovely .. time to give them legs some air because shorts, skirts and dresses are coming in! 

Gonna keep this post short and sweet, there's always something in good in each day. These recent photos are on my insta (@kf_ith) and are snapshots of things that I've found good these past few days. Even when you may have a full day or a nothing day, find the good in it. It doesn't have to come to you with balloons and confetti and a massive sign to tell you 'THIS IS GOOD!' You find it for yourself.

Whether it's a nice cup of tea, clear blue skies, fresh socks, putting on a nice scent, writing with a new pen, being in the presence of good company, playing your music without skipping any songs. Whatever it is, big or small, trust .. there's always something good in each day. 

Winter Music: In A Breath

New Empire is my favourite favourite band. They are Australian, born and raised. If you were to find their music in JB Hi-Fi, you'd probably find them in the alternative section where most 'indie' music are. This is just a post suggesting some music that I find to be wonderful this winter season. 

What I love about New Empire is not just the fact that they're 'Christians,' aren't mainstream and whatever, their lyrics and composition actually mean something. They are trying to tell stories, share stories, send messages. It is wonderful. Hopefully you find them to be just as great as I do.
