The more I visit Leura, Blue Moutains, the more I fall in love with that place. It's a quint, country type of suburb that is small in communal size however has a immense amounts of natural beauty. If only it wasn't so far, I would move into that area. It is that lovely! What made this place even better, is that it reminded of where I started with photography. It all started in a garden, macro photography. And my goodness, my heart was just in awe of this garden in particular.

The family and I spent our public holiday pretty much #yoloing it. We did not plan where we would go and somehow ended up in Leura. Fortunately everything was still open and the Leura Garden Festival was still running. Different houses were opened to showcase their beautiful gardens, years of dedication, effort, growth and nurturing with a dash of love was clearly evident. My favourite is shown in the above photos, Glenhaven Garden. This one is a result of 40 years worth of growth and nurturing. In such a 'small' area, who knew it could be jam-packed with astounding plants! It was only $3 for entry and all proceeds go to charity, beauty with a cause? Yes please!

I highly recommend, if you are roadtripping with a few friends or family, visit Leura if you're on your way to Katoomba or Wentworth Falls. It is worth the visit, even just strolling around Leura Mall will ensure you that you have a relaxing time. Hopefully after this semester I can visit Leura again and come back with a post reviewing the different cafes and stores.
